Sunday Ride 27/10 – Outer Harbor via Anzac Hwy
This week is the beach ride down ANZAC highway and out to Outer Harbour. Weather looks good so I expect everyone out.
Meet: In the City, Hindmarsh square
Time: 7:30 am
Route: Outer Harbor via Anzac Hwy. Seaview Rd, Esplanade, Military, Lady Gowrie and return
Coffee: Determined by legs but Semaphore on the return looks likely
The TDU Challenge tour is back so that may change the BG TDU week plan.
Ride for Jason
All, in memory of our friend and riding buddy Jason we are organising a Big Blue Table breakfast at the Largs Pier hotel on Sunday November the 10th after our Sunday Ride. As Jason had friends in multiple riding groups, we will be extending the invitation to everyone who knew him.
After a debate over which of the two pubs Jason loved, we had a choice of Uraidla or Largs Pier. We have decided to stick to the flats unless circumstances intervene as this will make the ride accessible to all.
I would like to book next week so if you can please let me know if you intend to come along as that would be very helpful.

Sunday Ride 18/10 – This week ride is sheer bloody minded obstinance – Cudlee Creek or Bust
Last weekend the weather forecast was great for Cudlee Creek, but we got rained on Sunday Morning. The result was yet another impromptu beach ride. So, this is the Forth attempt to transition out of Winter with some gentle climbing and then some superior cake at Cudlee Creek. This time the forecast looks superb for cycling, Sunny 26 degrees and moderate winds. hence no weather call and we will start at the Tower.

Sunday Ride 13/10 – Another attempt at Cudlee Creek
Last weekend we decided against Cudlee Creek as the radar
was showing rain in the hills so we did the hills face
This is the Third attempt to transition out of Winter with
some gentle climbing and then some superior cake at Cudlee Creek. This time the
forecast looks good hence no weather call and we will start at the
Tower.

Please Note: We have been informed by various of our little
birds that Babette has now completed training the new owners and has departed
the business. We have varying opinions on the impact a change on management has
had on the quality and quantity of the cake as well as the speed of service.
The BG’s Coffee and Cake committee will need to convene to discuss the outcome
post ride.
Sunday Ride 04/10 – A Long Weekend Cudlee Creek
Yay! Daylights Savings and more importantly a long weekend is here!! I don’t know about you, but I am pooped. Remember the clocks go forward one hour on Sunday.
This is the second attempt to transition out of Winter with some gentle climbing and then some superior cake at Cudlee Creek. Yet again I really don’t know what to make of Sunday’s forecast. Hence a weather call and we will start at the Tower regardless.
