Sunday Ride – Outer Harbor via Port Rd – No Excuses Club ride

*Sunday Ride – Outer Harbor via Port Rd – No Excuses Club ride*

As this Sunday is the first Sunday of the Month and the weather looks good 15 degrees, Partly Cloudy and Light Winds it’s the No Excuses ride. So, I expect to see everyone out.

The weather looks so nice in fact I am not scheduling a weather call.

Meet: In the City, Hindmarsh square

Time: 8:00 am

Route: Outer Harbor via Port Rd. Esplanade, Military, Seaview Rd

Coffee: At Glenelg

There is lots to discuss this week with the Tour starting on Saturday night, Zwift announcing a climbing portal and the TDU announcing its routes. The Tour looks like a great route this year. As for Zwift you can ride all the mountains of the Tour in the freezing cold confines of your garage this year.  The ICT crew will have to ride a few of them, or we will have to listen to William the White.

Cote de Trebiac—3.4 km at 5.8%

Col des Aravis—4.4 km at 6%

Col d’Aspin—12 km at 6.5%

Puy de Dome—10.5 km at 8%

Cote de Domancy—2.6km at 8.6%

Cote de Pike—2 km at 10%

Col du Platzerwasel—7.1km at 8.4%

Col du Tourmalet—16.9 km at 7.4%

We can also hear how a little wind caused Warren to make excuses last week.

Route: Anzac Hwy, Military Rd, Seaview Rd, Military Rd, U-Turn at Bower Rd, Return the same way, Turn at Henley Beach Rd.

Last week’s ride was relatively dry just cold.

Sunday Ride – Short Beach – Hallett Cove

Sunday Ride – Short Beach – Hallett Cove

If you can work the Sunday weather forecast out, you are doing better than me. The best I can tell at this point is we will have decent window to get a ride in however home early is a prudent move. Hence I am setting the short ride.

Meet in the City at 8:00am

Weather Call: 7:00 am

Route: City, ANZAC Hwy, Esplanade, Wheatland St, Kuri Parade, Brandon Tce, The Cove and Return

Coffee at Glenelg

In other news for the cyclist who already has all the Zwift has introduced custom controls. You can even turn and brake……what will they think of next. https://zwiftinsider.com/play-launch/

Sundays Ride is Outer Harbor via Anzac Hwy

*Sundays Ride is Outer Harbor via Anzac Hwy*

Surprisingly the weather report for Sunday looks better than okay. No rain, 18 degrees, cloudy. Light winds becoming northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h during the evening. In line with the winter schedule, I will book a flat ride. If people want to try hills, we can decide in the city in the morning but as I was test driving a car on Thursday, I can testify that it will be damp up there.

*Meet:* In the city

*Time:* 8:00 am

*Route*: Anzac Hwy, Military Rd, Seaview Rd, Military Rd, Esplanade, Outer Harbor, Return the same way.

*Coffee* at Glenelg (or Norwood if we think the weather will be an issue)

*Return*: Anzac Hwy

Looks like a great chance to get a ride in so I hope to see you Sunday. If not enjoy the long weekend.

Route: Outer Harbor via Port Rd. Esplanade, Military, Seaview Rd

Coffee: At Glenelg

Hope to see you all out Sunday. Remember Winter work means less pain in spring and
