Okay so having failed this ride once due to weather we will try again. As a reminder Café Veloce Dad (Nonno) who could produce 100 coffees in 5 minutes and get them all perfect has sold the business. The new owners can’t make a decent coffee and the carrot cake was stale so the BG declare Veloce Café Glenelg deconsecrated. 

This Sundays ride will be a modified Beach out and back to Outer Harbor to accommodate an interim coffee stop at Scala bakery. The weather looks good for Sunday 24 degrees.

Meet: Hindmarsh Square 7:30 am

Route: City, Port Rd, Victoria Parade, Outer Harbor, Esplanade, Military Rd, Seaview Rd, West Beach

Coffee at Scala Bakery West Beach as at least the carrot cake will be edible.

Return Seaview Rd, Military Rd, Esplanade, Outer Harbor, Victoria Parade, Port Rd, City

Sunday Ride – 22/10/23 – Montecute Loop

This Sunday’s weather looks good partly , 19 degrees. This weekend is the Bay to Birdwood so while the old car procession is up chain of ponds experience has taught to stay away from that side of the hills. So, we will stick to the hills face with multiple escape routes.

Meet: 7:30am at the Tower Hotel

Route: Magill Rd, Glen Stuart Rd, Morilata Rd, Stradbroke Rd, Montecute Rd

First Regroup / Escape Route: Top of CorkScrew

Route: Montecute Rd, Marble Hill Rd, Ashton

Second Regroup / Escape Route: Ashton

Route: Ashton, Basket Range, Basket Range Rd, Uralidla

Excruciating slow Coffee and a fast Sausage Roll: Uraidla

Return: Via Lofty, Mt Osmond or Escape down Nortons

On top of all this I still haven’t done a ride guide so I am planning by reusing last year’s guide at the moment.

As you all know Café Veloce Dad (Nonno) who could produce 100 coffees in 5 minutes and get them all perfect has sold the business. We gave the new owners a few visits and unfortunately the BG now declare Veloce Café Glenelg deconsecrated. 

As such this Sundays ride will be a modified Beach out and back to Outer Harbor to accommodate an interim coffee shop. The weather has also intervened and looks ordinary for Sunday so it will be a weather call this Sunday.
