Sunday Ride –
22/10/23 – Montecute Loop
This Sunday’s weather looks good partly , 19
degrees. This weekend is the Bay to Birdwood so while the old car procession is
up chain of ponds experience has taught to stay away from that side of the hills.
So, we will stick to the hills face with multiple escape routes.
Meet: 7:30am at the Tower Hotel
Route: Magill Rd, Glen Stuart Rd, Morilata Rd,
Stradbroke Rd, Montecute Rd
First Regroup / Escape Route: Top of CorkScrew
Route: Montecute Rd, Marble Hill Rd, Ashton
Second Regroup / Escape Route: Ashton
Route: Ashton, Basket Range, Basket Range Rd,
Uralidla
Excruciating slow Coffee and a fast Sausage Roll:
Uraidla
Return: Via Lofty, Mt Osmond or Escape down Nortons
On top of all this I still haven’t done a ride
guide so I am planning by reusing last year’s guide at the moment.
