This Sunday’s weather was looking really good for the hills…….right up until the one they issued this afternoon. Still, it looks like it will have passed by ride-time on Sunday so we will do the hills or if it looks wet and dodgy up there, we will do a Surf & Turf starting at the Tower. 

Weather Partly Cloudy, so no sunburn, 18 degrees with light winds. Given we are coming out of Winter, and a few riders lack fitness that means short Hills. We will stick to the hills face with multiple escape routes for those lacking fitness or carrying winter kilos.

First Regroup / Escape Route: Top of CorkScrew

Route: Ashton, Basket Range, Basket Range Rd, Uraildla

Coffee a Mandatory Sausage Roll and probably a desert: Uraidla

Return: Via Nortons, Via Lofty

Alternate Surf n Turf via Greenhill Rd  

The early-bird price for the Epic TDU ride expires on Tuesday. Have a think if you want to participate this year. It’s a bit of an awkward finish line in Nairne. Close enough to ride home, far enough that the Prancing Pony and a pickup looks really good.

There is a picture of me pinned up in the break room at the BOM with the caption “get him”. The weather forecast for Sunday looks a little dodgy at the time of writing and I think Hills are out, 16 degrees and winds from the west.

Its great weather this Sunday and we are off the winter schedule so we will head to Cudlee Creek. Out and back is available if you still have winter legs. No really tough climbs to worry about. Weather is partly cloudy 19 degrees with light winds.

Meet: Tower Hotel at 7:30am

Easy Return: Out and back

Sunday Ride 07/09 – Outer Harbor via Port Rd – No Excuses Club ride

 Last Sunday was stealth rain, nothing on the Radar, nothing in the gauges but soaked to the skin. This Sunday also looks wets. As it’s the first Sunday of the month lets try for the club ride again. The weather looks only slightly dodgy but it’s getting warmer as spring is here.

It is also time to shift out start times to 7:30 am

Weather is possible rain, moderate winds and 22 degrees. If it isn’t wet let’s bring the No Excuses ride forward. So, No Excuses, I expect to see everyone out.

That said I have the bucks show on Saturday so I may twinge my back slightly
