Sunday Ride 30/08 – Cudlee Creek out and back – Last Day of Winter

This Sunday is the last day of winter, and, in a rare act of seasonal co-operation, the weather actually looks good. Mostly sunny, light winds and no real chance of rain. So, if the BG’s can report to spring training we can finish winter properly with a gentle roll to Cudlee Creek. Out and back is available if you still have winter legs, and there are no tough climbs to worry about.

NOTE: It’s the last ride of Winter so as per mormal we will return to our normal start time of 7:30am.

Meet: Tower Hotel at 7:30am

Route: Tower, Glen Stuart Rd, Morialta Rd, Stradbroke Rd, Gorge Rd, Cudlee Creek

Coffee and Cake: Cudlee Creek

Easy Return: Out and back

Hard Return: Corkscrew Rd – Montacute Rd just in case anyone has discovered spring legs a day early.

I will not schedule a weather call on the current forecast. It looks like a great chance to farewell winter, test the legs gently and discuss who has been pretending to train over winter, Brian???.

Also, a reminder we do Corkscrew at least once a season. It wont be Sunday but just letting you know.

See you Sunday.

Sunday Ride 2/08 – Special Request Easy Ride - Beach Ride: Henley Beach, Outer Harbour, Semaphore Coffee and Port Rd Home

Sunday Ride 2/08 – Special Request Easy Ride - Beach Ride: Henley Beach, Outer Harbour, Semaphore Coffee and Port Rd Home

The BOM has been consulted, and Sunday morning looks nice with light winds and gasp! sun. We have a request from Dave for an easy ride. We are a bit unsure if that is due to lack of riding fitness or a surplus of Guinness with a Jamison chaser…..or four.

It’s also the last round of the home and away season so I assume there will be a bit of football watching.

Weather Call: 7:00 am

Meet: 8:00 am in the City, Hindmarsh Square

Route: City, Henley Beach Road, Henley Beach, Seaview Road, Military Road, Esplanade, Outer Harbor, then back along the coast to Semaphore.

Coffee: Semaphore

We can discuss the whole Sydney Swans fiasco. Footballers indulging in strippers and cocaine. Who would have thought it possible.

See you Sunday.

Meet: 8:00 am at the Tower

Route:  Tower, Nortons, Ashton, Basket Range, Forrest Range, Deviation Rd, Greenhill Rd

Coffee and pastry products at Uraidla

See you Sunday. Only a short post this week. It’s been a bugga of a week. I even gave the AI a strong cup of really hot tea to write this post but it refused.
