Sunday Ride 25/10 – Semaphore via Anzac Hwy, Return via Port Rd
The forecast for Sunday is: “Partly cloudy. Very high chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. Winds southerly 15 to 20 km/h, turning south-westerly 25 to 35 km/h during the morning.” Minimum 11 degrees, maximum 18 degrees, with 1 to 9 mm possible and a 90% chance of rain.
So, this year remains true to form: perfect for riding when we are all at work, then err.. ordinary when Sunday arrives.
Normally this forecast would send me directly under the table with a good bottle of red, but on this occasion, I would have to move from my sick bed just to get under the table. That seems unnecessarily strenuous, so we will set a weather call and as per normal let the mark 1 eyeball make the final decision.
Weather Call: 6:30 am
Meet: 7:30 am in the City, Hindmarsh Square
Route: City, Anzac Hwy, Military Rd, Esplanade to Semaphore. (May be modified for Wind)
Coffee: Semaphore.
Return: Port Rd back to the City.
